Cupcakes, Hats and an English Cocker Spaniel

My weekend has been very relaxed. Since booking my next holiday and also having a jam packed September, I’ve been trying to lay low this month (ie. saving some money!) However, I have my weekend in pictures. I met up with an old work colleague and we took her dog for a walk. Walked around my local town and found an amazing Cupcake shop that’s just like Magnolia Bakery in New York City (I bought 8 cakes that have all been eaten already) and I also bought some meat from the local butchers (I want to buy local produce more often from now on) and furthermore I am once again obsessed with red lipstick. I swap and change between two shades – Cherry Red by MAC and Russian Red by Estee Lauder. This very much suits me well going into the Fall and I can once again embrace my natural paleness. I am however, not ready for the freezing cold.

For todays outfit, I kept it simple and comfortable as for once the sun was shining in Manchester. I also kept up my usual love for stripes :) I didn’t actually wear the cardigan  because it was hotter than I expected but being English, I presume it’s cold even when the sun is out.

Such a wonderful dog, she is so playful and silly. We walked around a big lake and she spent the whole time in the water swimming. By the end of the walk, we were exhausted and she still wanted to play fetch. My arms are hurting today from tug of war! I really really want a dog!

To finish off todays post, I decided to buy myself some roses earlier. I like to buy myself some flowers now and again, and they brighten up any room. I love waking up to pretty flowers every morning, I start off my day right :)
